The Knowledge E Foundation planned to develop Al Wusul: The Arab Journal of Open Science Policies and Practises some years ago. This is a Diamond Open Access bilingual journal, publishing original research and localised case studies in Arabic and English, with a focus on the role, implementation and impact of open science policies and practises in Arab higher education institutions. We aim to provide a platform to showcase regional activities using emergent or innovative perspectives and approaches, case studies relating to specific challenges and solutions within individual institutions, and new inter-institutional and cross-regional collaborative projects and partnerships. It will also be the official journal for our Annual Forum for Open Research in MENA, with a carefully curated selection of the most valuable case studies from the event being selected and developed into articles for the journal each year.

We are therefore very excited to welcome the new Editorial Board and Advisory Board members, who will work with us to collect and showcase valuable case studies and groundbreaking research from across the Arab States.
