Community and Collaboration at the Heart of Open Access Week

As we count down to the start of International Open Access Week, we’re delighted to share a short message from our Co-founder and Director, Dr. Emily Choynowski, highlighting how our Annual Forum serves as a regional focal point for International Open Access Week, offering a platform for collaboration and bringing together institutions, researchers, and advocates from across the Arab world to exchange ideas, strengthen networks, and build sustainable open research communities.

By aligning the forum with Open Access Week, we aim to amplify this year’s global conversation around the control and ownership of knowledge, while ensuring that the Arab region’s voices, challenges, and innovations are part of that dialogue.

We invite all individuals and organisations, whether experienced practitioners or newcomers to Open Science, to join us in this collaborative effort.
