This webinar will explore the results of an extensive project mapping the Open Access journal landscape, providing accurate and up-to-date insights into a region often overlooked or misrepresented in global studies. The session will cover the current scale of Open Access journals in the Arab States, including subject, language, financial model, ownership demographics, and indexing. Attendees will gain a critical understanding of the major obstacles to Open Science, the dominant financial and ownership models, and the specific challenges of indexing and bibliodiversity.
