We are hugely excited to announce that our provisional programme is now ready. There are still some elements to be finalised, and some social and cultural events to confirm, but we hope everyone who attends in person and online will find it a rich and through-provoking event.
This year the theme is “Transforming Knowledge Into Action”, and we will explore tangible and practical strategies for the implementation of Open Science policies throughout the Arab world, using localised and actionable insights from knowledgeable speakers across the region and beyond.
By building on the insights we’ve gathered from our community over the last three years, this year’s forum aims to address the practical needs of the region’s Open Science movement by offering actionable insights, support, and guidance to attendees looking to develop and implement Open Science policies and practices, whether through grassroots initiatives or national policy.
We want to extend our particular thanks to everyone who submitted proposals for this year’s Annual Forum. We had so many truly excellent submissions from across the Arab region, it was extremely difficult for our Advisory Board to make their final selection.
We also want to thank the Advisory Board for their dedication, and to our Host Partner this year, Qatar National Library. Without everyone’s support and valuable insights, this event would never happen.
This year, there will be 23 sessions over 3.5 days, with 64 speakers exploring multiplate aspects of the development and implementation of open science policies and practises in the Arab world and beyond.
