FORM’s regional network continues to grow with communities committed to inclusion and knowledge sharing, and we are pleased to welcome the Fez ACM-W Chapter from Morocco.
The Fez ACM-W Chapter, the first of its kind in Morocco, is dedicated to supporting, celebrating, and advancing women in computing and technology. As a local branch of the Association for Computing Machinery’s Women initiative, the chapter strives to create an inclusive community that empowers women in academia, research, and the tech industry. Through mentorship programmes, workshops, speaker events, and networking opportunities, the chapter fosters professional growth, skills development, and knowledge sharing. It also serves as a platform to highlight the achievements of women in technology and to encourage young women to pursue careers in computing. By connecting students, professionals, and academics, the Fez ACM-W Chapter actively contributes to the global ACM-W network while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in Morocco’s tech ecosystem.
The chapter’s focus on community building, mentorship, and widening participation in research and technology aligns closely with FORM’s work to strengthen inclusive and collaborative research cultures across the Arab region. Both communities share an interest in expanding access to knowledge, supporting emerging voices, and encouraging greater participation in Open Science practices and conversations.
By joining FORM, the Fez ACM-W Chapter becomes part of a cross-regional network working to advance Open Science policies and practices, exchange practical insights, and support research communities at different stages of their Open Science journey. We look forward to future collaboration through shared dialogue, community activities, and initiatives that promote inclusive engagement in research and innovation.
“Fez ACM-W is thrilled to join FORM, championing Open Science across the Arab region. By making research more accessible and visible, we can empower emerging institutions and communities to lead the way toward a more open, inclusive, and sustainable scholarly future.”
We warmly welcome the Fez ACM-W Chapter to FORM and look forward to working together to support a more open, diverse, and connected research ecosystem across the region.
