The first half of 2025 has been extremely active for us here at FORM, with a number of new members joining us from across the region and the global open science community. It is wonderful to see our community grow, and to support so many cross-regional collaborative partnerships, as institutions and individuals increasingly recognise the importance of open science policies and practises.
With that in mind, we are particularly delighted to welcome our newest member, RED Lab – an influential research laboratory at the University of Gabès, Tunisia, located in the Arab region. This is our first research unit Member, and we are thrilled to be able to partner with RED Lab, and look forward to collaborating with them in the coming years.
“We aim to join FORM because we believe we can improve as Arab experts. We just need to strengthen our unity, community, and effectiveness. We believe that improving the accessibility and visibility of research is essential to ensuring the sustainability and quality of scientific research, particularly through our “Journal of Academic Finance” , a diamond open access journal, established in 2010.” Prof. Jamel E. Henchiri, director of the RED Laboratory
